If you asked researcher, author, and professor of economic psychology Michael Muthukrishna what makes humans unique from other species on our planet, he would answer: our ability to create culture. Our ability to pass down knowledge, skills, and traditions from generation to generation is a significant part of what creates the uniquely human experience. Michael’s answer would not stop there, though.

In his book A Theory of Everyone, a title that draws from the “theory of everything” in physics, Michael presents that our human experience, in its entirety including culture, but also aspects like energy and innovation can help solve many of the global challenges we face today.

In this Virtual Gathering, Michael will join Board Member Rand Stagen to provide insights from across the sciences and humanities on how combining aspects of human behavior, culture, and society with life science principles can be used to help solve problems like polarization, inequality, and the energy crisis. While the challenges we face as a species and across the planet are critical, this conversation will help us take a step back, simplify the abstract ideas that often cloud solutions that are within our reach, and craft a blueprint to chart a collective path toward a better tomorrow, for everyone.
